Ashmeth and the Damnedland

Both of these wester-providences suffer from the unfortunate fate of sharing borders with the Hell Crag. While very similar in flat landscape and ambitious population, there are just a few things which set them apart. Ashmeth is named due to the prominent north winds carried from the volcanoes of Hell Crag, which often covered in white ash and black soot. Some northern areas are mild, and allow for easy inhabitance with only occasional falling of ash, while much of the land is covered, accompanied with clouds of deathly gas, and lakes of acid. The Damnedland has a less volcanic fate, whose vicinity suffers from another byproduct of its volcanic southern neighbor; dragon and dragonkin. Towns and villages are often the target of dragon attacks, which has driven some inhabitants to worship dragon-kind as deities, offering ‘tribute’ to these winged beasts in exchange for their oversight.
